
Himali Varshney Kumar

Himali Varshney Kumar is IT Director for AutoZone Inc. where she is responsible for Data Management and Engineering. She is a twenty-six-year technologist with experience across data, software engineering, program management and application development. Having worked at three fortune 500 companies (AutoZone, FedEx, and International Paper), she is well versed with the complexities in leading data organizations in large corporations. Himali has MBA from Kelley School of Business (IU) and BE in Computer Science and Technology from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, India.
Himali is passionate about encouraging girls in Tech. She regularly serves as mentor on DS4A and is a member of “Women in Data”. She also serves as a board member for IIT Roorkee Foundation where she is leading a similar initiative to encourage female enrollment in her Alma mater. Through AutoZone, she volunteers for STRIVE, an organization that mentors and coaches young individuals.
Himali is a certified Yoga teacher and teaches yoga at AutoZone regularly. In her free time, you will find her at yoga studio or in the yard planting flowers. She lives in Memphis, TN with her husband and two daughters.
